3D Print Concept/Renders

 For my concept designs i figured i would mess around with shapes. as a result, one of them ended up as a sort of futuristic utopian esque building
I have been playing alot of The legend of Zelda: Tears of the kingdom so i was inspired by it and its use of oddly shaped spirals 

The goal for this render was to make a ring out of the rings. Like an ouroboros shape of some sort.


 
It was supposed to look something like this but i don't know how to shape it



The plan for this render was to make a flower-ish model but it went wrong somewhere and i am not sure where.


This was meant to be a fireball but i dont know how to make a gap inside of the shape

And lastly my other troublesome render. My thoughts were to make this shaped like an egg with holes inside but i wasn't able to get the shape properly so all i can show is a sketch of what i wanted it to look like.

Coaster Concept Sketches

  These are a few concept sketches I drew up for a design for a coaster. I put some thought into them but if I had to choose two that I am most excited for, one would be the vinyl coasters. I am a huge fan of all things vintage, and when I was assigned to make concept designs for a coaster, my mind immediately went to “how can I make a coaster with a vintage aesthetic?” And my first idea was vinyl records. My idea was that they each have a different album on each record and it would come with a tray where you can store them whenever you don’t need to use them now. The second idea that I am excited about is the Burger/Sandwich coaster. My thought process is this; every part of the burger/sandwich functions as a coaster, the buns, lettuce, cheese etc. They are detachable and can stack up together if they are stacked properly. I am looking forward to working on either one of these choices.

Coaster Renders

Here are some renders for my prototype cheeseburger coaster. There were a few good concept sketches but it dwindled down to the cheeseburger.  I got some great feedback from my classmates which was focused on what materials i should use for each coaster. For the burger and patty i thought the best choice would be wood or plywood, the lettuce and cheese will be acrylic and the tomato will be glass. My only issue was curving the top bun but i doubt it will take away from the gimmick of my coaster.

Vinyl 3D Voxel Model

For my voxel model, i chose to create my vinyl collection. I tried experimenting with different lighting as well as backgrounds and colors. What i found worked best with my model is going with a basic gradient rather than a background. Throughout this process i learned that sometimes, less is more which can be shown in my renders.
